Berry College essay review

Berry College prints one optional essay prompt for 2026-27 and requires none of them. A NudgeEssay review reads your draft against the Berry College prompt you pick, not against a general checklist: six rubric bands scored 1 to 5, notes on your own sentences in the margin, a map of where a reader's attention holds and where it drops, and a ranked list of fixes with the biggest one first. The first fix and the line a reader kept come back free; the full marked-up report is $49 for one essay or $299 for 20.

The Berry College prompts and deadlines below were read on Berry College's own admissions site on 2026-09-04. NudgeEssay is not affiliated with Berry College and makes no claim about any admissions decision.

What Berry College asks you to write

Word for word, from Berry College’s own admissions pages. Pick the one your draft answers in the box below and the read is judged against that prompt’s own asks.

  1. Recommended, wording not published · not an essay

Berry offers a “Why Berry” short essay, available within the application.

Berry's own apply page lists this among items that are “not required (but are more than welcome)”, separate from the required Personal Essay; no prompt text is published on this page.

The same prompts with every deadline round, the platform and the dated source are on the Berry College essay requirements page.

What the review does to your Berry College essay

It reads the draft cold, the way a stranger with four hundred more files to get through reads it, and answers the question that decides the essay: what is still there a week later. Then it scores six rubric bands from 1 to 5, each with a short quote from your own essay that drove the band and two or three sentences on what would raise it.

It marks your own sentences in the margin, maps where a reader’s attention holds and where it drops across the draft, screens for the patterns that read as AI-written or consultant-written, names the stock archetypes the essay is falling into, and ranks the fixes with the biggest one first. It points at your own material and never writes a sentence for you to paste.

Prompt fit is judged first, before any opinion of the writing: each distinct ask in the Berry College prompt is checked separately, because an essay aimed near the prompt rather than at it is the most common fatal miss in a paid draft.

All 23 checks are listed on what the review checks. Seven complete reports on sample essays are published unedited, exactly as the engine wrote them, on the samples page, and what a college essay grader leaves out explains where the six bands stop and the read begins.

What Berry College reports about admissions

Berry College admits 64.0% of applicants. The middle 50% of enrolled students scored 1125-1330 on the SAT and 22-28 on the ACT.

From the federal College Scorecard, pulled 2026-09-17. Score figures describe enrolled students, not applicants and not admits, and they are not a cutoff. No admission probability is stated anywhere on this site, because colleges do not publish admit rates conditional on a score, so any single percentage would be invented. The free chance me tool sorts a list into reaches, targets and likelies and gives no percentage either.

Questions

How many essays does Berry College require?
Berry College prints one optional essay prompt for 2026-27 and requires none of them. Each prompt is printed word for word on this page and on the Berry College requirements page, with the date it was last read on Berry College's own admissions site.
What is the word limit on the Berry College essays?
Berry College does not state a limit in words on the prompt every applicant meets. Where a college states a cap in characters or lines, or states none at all, this site prints what the college actually wrote rather than converting it into a word count that the college never published. The wording is above, exactly as it appears on Berry College's own page.
Is the review written against the Berry College prompts or against a general checklist?
Against the prompt you pick. You choose which Berry College prompt the draft answers before the read starts, and the report judges whether the essay answers that prompt's distinct asks, each one separately, before it forms any opinion of the writing. A well-made essay aimed near the prompt is the most common fatal miss in a paid draft, so prompt fit is judged first rather than last.
When is the Berry College application deadline?
The first deadline is Early Action on November 1, 2026. Berry College publishes 2 rounds for 2026-27: Early Action on November 1, 2026, Regular Decision on January 15, 2027. Dates come from Berry College's own admissions site, read on 2026-09-04, and a college can move a date mid-cycle, so confirm on Berry College's own page before you rely on it.
How much does an essay review for Berry College cost?
$49 for one essay, $199 for a pack of 10, or $299 for a pack of 20, which is about $15 an essay. Every essay includes one free re-read of the revised draft and nothing expires. You see your report in redacted form, with the first fix and the line a reader kept, before you decide whether to pay.
Is NudgeEssay connected to Berry College?
No. NudgeEssay has no relationship with Berry College or with any other college, is not endorsed by Berry College, and does not predict, influence or guarantee any admissions decision. The Berry College prompts and deadlines on this page were read from Berry College's own public admissions pages and are linked to their source. The review is a reading of your writing, nothing more.
