St. John's University (NY) essay review
St. John's University (NY) asks every applicant for no school-specific essays for 2026-27. A NudgeEssay review reads your draft against the St. John's University (NY) prompt you pick, not against a general checklist: six rubric bands scored 1 to 5, notes on your own sentences in the margin, a map of where a reader's attention holds and where it drops, and a ranked list of fixes with the biggest one first. The first fix and the line a reader kept come back free; the full marked-up report is $49 for one essay or $299 for 20.

What the review does to your St. John's University (NY) essay
It reads the draft cold, the way a stranger with four hundred more files to get through reads it, and answers the question that decides the essay: what is still there a week later. Then it scores six rubric bands from 1 to 5, each with a short quote from your own essay that drove the band and two or three sentences on what would raise it.
It marks your own sentences in the margin, maps where a reader’s attention holds and where it drops across the draft, screens for the patterns that read as AI-written or consultant-written, names the stock archetypes the essay is falling into, and ranks the fixes with the biggest one first. It points at your own material and never writes a sentence for you to paste.
Prompt fit is judged first, before any opinion of the writing: each distinct ask in the St. John's University (NY) prompt is checked separately, because an essay aimed near the prompt rather than at it is the most common fatal miss in a paid draft.
All 23 checks are listed on what the review checks. Seven complete reports on sample essays are published unedited, exactly as the engine wrote them, on the samples page, and what a college essay grader leaves out explains where the six bands stop and the read begins.

What St. John's University (NY) reports about admissions
St. John's University (NY) admits 83.4% of applicants. The middle 50% of enrolled students scored 1150-1340 on the SAT and 24-29 on the ACT.
From the federal College Scorecard, pulled 2026-09-17. Score figures describe enrolled students, not applicants and not admits, and they are not a cutoff. No admission probability is stated anywhere on this site, because colleges do not publish admit rates conditional on a score, so any single percentage would be invented. The free chance me tool sorts a list into reaches, targets and likelies and gives no percentage either.
